About Us
Snap.fm is the only music focused social bookmarking site on the web. It is independently run and funded by part-time obsessed independent music fans. Snap.fm is an ever evolving site about finding and sharing the music you love. Launched November 15th we have a small but growing community of music lovers. Our Community grows with your help, so tell your friends.
The Team
Jesse is more like Wakko than Yakko or Dot. He is fueled by Powerpop and Post-Rock. He prefers quail over over such hilarious birds.
Devin graduated from Boston University in December of 2006 with a degree in Film Production. He likes the fact that Daft Punk is back. He loves beer and foosball, in that order.
Xiao joined the team in May of 2007. Bringing a strong technical know-how to the snap.fm team, he rounded out the founding few. His name is hard to pronounce so he goes by simply X. If he isn’t coding, he is brewing beer. He has a soft spot for Belgium Ales.
Cosabeth graduation from Boston University with Devin in December of 2006. Since then she has help shape and focus the image of snap.fm She works full time in Boston at public relations firm and is constantly being surprised by her tech-inept older colleagues. With a strong knowledge of social media, she is years ahead of her peers. Also, I think she’s French.
Kenan’s love for music dates back to before his full conception: as a fetus, his parents played him Jimi Hendrix records on weekends so that he would grow up to be a famous guitarist. Unfortunately, his skill for the guitar never developed. In its place is an undeniable necessity to write, comment, blog, and criticize. Shunning the normal avenue after graduation from Boston University, Kenan has turned in his suit and tie and decided to live the freelance lifestyle and work on his first novel. He's also deeply involved in a plot to get himself into the New Yorker, as well as become the next Peter Travers. When not immersed in a novel, you can find him working out, painting, writing, or in an artsy movie theater.

- Once something has been submitted (or snapped) to snap.fm, it becomes an story or event.
- Snap
- Is the term for submitting an article to snap.fm. Once snapped, they become story or events.
- Story
- Is an article about music news or content.
- Event
- Is an article about something that will expire, has a date and that can be added to a calendar.
- Vote
- Is to mark a story or event with a positive rating.
- Kill
- Is to mark a story or event with a negative rating.
- Push
- Is you pass on a song to a friend's playlist from your own.
- Pull
- Is to add a song on your own playlist you have found on a friends.
- Source
- Is the story from whence a song was tagged.
